Returns and Shipping Policies

GARN® Parts Return Policy:

The return policies specified herein apply for any parts ordered online through the web store at www.garn.com.  These return policies DO NOT apply to sales of the GARN WHS equipment proper or the Electric Heating Package product line.

All returns must include the following:

  • Valid Return Equipment Authorization (REA)
  • Original product packaging
  • Original intact UPC barcode, if one exists
  • All accessories
  • All documentation

General Returns:

You have 30 days from the date your product was delivered to request an REA via email parts@garn.com. Once you receive an authorized REA, you have 7 days to get your product in the possession of the shipper to be returned to us (along with a copy of the valid REA). Some products, if opened, may be returned for a replacement item only, and not for a refund. A 30% restocking fee will be charged on all returned products, unless the products are defective.

Shipping costs are not refunded.

If you are returning a non-defective product, you must pay return shipping fees. For shipments outside the United States please see our International Shipping Policy.

 Non-Returnable Products:

  • All PEX tubing products
  • All pre-insulated products
  • All fitting and adapters for all PEX tubing and pre-insulated products
  • Products that have been installed and or used and are not defective.
  • Products that are custom made or manufactured specifically for your order.
  • Products whose price is quoted specifically for your order
  • Products identified as Non-Returnable Products on their product detail

Defective Products:

You have 15 days from the date your product was delivered to request an REA via email. Once you receive an authorized REA you have 7 days to get your product in the possession of the shipper to be returned to us (along with a copy of the valid REA).

Once your return is received, inspected, and processed we will either refund your order or send a replacement, at your preference. We do not cross ship; if you would like to initiate the replacement sooner simply place a new order online for the part you need and elect for the refund on the original order.

If the product meets the manufacturer specifications and is in working order the product will be returned to you at your expense with no refund.

How to request a Return Equipment Authorization (REA)

Send an email request to parts@garn.com for an REA. Our returns department will review your request for an REA and determine if you meet the requirements of our Returns Policy. If an REA is approved, you will receive an email containing specific instructions for returning your product. Return Equipment Authorizations (REAs) must be valid, unexpired, and issued for the item being returned.

Shipping Damage:

You have 15 days from the date your product was delivered to contact the shipper and request a damage claim form. Please include a brief description of the packaging damage as required by the shipper.  Please hold onto the damaged item for 8 business days. During that time, the shipper will contact you to pick up the damaged item and/or inspect the damaged item. Second, please specify your desired action, refunded or replacement shipment.

Shipping Policies:

United States
The standard method of shipping for delivery of orders within the 48 contiguous states is UPS Ground*

*UPS Ground Charges are calculated by UPS software and are determined by the zone, the actual weight of the package and the dimensional weight of the package. Dimensional weight considers density, which is the amount of space a package occupies in relation to its actual weight, to determine billable weight.

*USPS Shipping Charges are calculated by USPS software and are determined by the zone, the actual weight of the package and the dimensional weight of the package. Dimensional weight considers density, which is the amount of space a package occupies in relation to its actual weight, to determine billable weight.

International
International orders are shipped via  USPS.  Unless other wise specified.
To best serve our International customers please email prior to placing an online order if other then USPS shipping is requested. Please send your email to keith.kelley@dectra.net and include the following information; Name, Street Address, City, State/Province/Country, Zip Code, and all the products you would like to order. An email will be returned to you with your shipping fee totals.

Shipment Schedule
Orders will ship in 1-3 business day of order being received for items normally stocked. If there is a delay, due to an item being out-of-stock, or a special order item, you will be notified via phone or email. Please allow extra delivery time for out-of-stock items.

Hold Harmless Agreement
Buyer herein agrees to assume any and all responsibility for the installation and use to which the goods herein purchased are ultimately put and further agrees to hold Seller, its employees, agents, officers and directors harmless from any and all claims, demands, causes of actions, suits, orders, judgments and liabilities and any and all losses and costs relating thereto for any and all injuries, damages or losses sustained or claimed to have been sustained by anyone other than the Buyer which are caused, or claim to have been caused, by whole, in part, directly or indirectly, by Buyers purchase, use and installation of said purchased goods.
